BRA FUNDAMENTALS

BRA CARE

Q: How often should my bra be washed?

A: You should wash your bra after every wear. Due to your body’s natural oils, sweat and skin exfoliation it’s best to wash your bra after each wear. Washing and
letting your bra rest between wears also helps with bra recovery.

Q: How do I wash my bra?

A: The best way to wash your bra is to hand wash it and lay it flat to dry. If you choose to use a washing machine, place your bras in a lingerie wash bag to
protect them. Select cool or warm water and mild soap. Do not wring or twist bras to remove excess water. Lay your bras flat or hang them on a line to dry.

Q: How long does my bra last?

A: Your bra should last for 100 wears and 100 washes. If you wear and wash the same bra every day, it would last you 3 months.

Q: How do I know when I need to replace my bra?

A: There are a few ways to know when you should replace your bra.
1) You are no longer getting lift from your bra. For optimal comfort your bra should be supporting and lifting your breast tissue. You can tell if you are getting
support by looking at your profile in the mirror, the fullest point of your breast should be at the midpoint between your elbow and shoulder.
2) If you notice any of the following – your bra is stretched out and it’s time for a new one:
a. If you feel your bra moving
b. If you can feel your breast tissue sitting on your stomach/rib cage
c. If over time the cup begins to gap at the neckline

BRA FIT

Q: How often should I be fit for my bra?

A: You should be fit every year, if you gain or lose seven pounds or go through a life-changing event. A couple examples of life-changing events are having a
baby or going through menopause.

Q: How do I find my perfect bra?

A: Different brands have different coverage goals and fit expectations, therefore between brands your size can vary. There are three ways to find
your perfect bra fit. Use our Bra Finder, try our Bra Size Calculator,or schedule a Virtual Bra Consultation.

Q: How many bras should you have?

A: The more bras you have in your daily rotation, the longer each will last. Our Fit Experts recommend a minimum of 3-7 bras. Ideally you have at least three
everyday bras (1 to wear, 1 to wash and 1 to rest) and at least two wardrobing bras (sport, strapless/convertible, going out, lounge) depending on your lifestyle.

Q: How should my bra fit?

A: We have a great tool for that – 5 Points of Fit™

Q: What hook should I wear my bra on?

A: When you are shopping for a bra, you should hook it in the middle. This gives you the flexibility to loosen or tighten it as your body fluctuates.

Q: Why are underwire bras uncomfortable?

A: If you are wearing the right bra for your size and shape, you won’t even notice the underwire. If you feel the underwire, it’s time to get a bra fitting to make
sure you are wearing the right size.
